When I saw these crochet projects in a recent Better Homes and Gardens magazine it made me wish that I could crochet but even if I could I don't have the time for yet another hobby. I absolutely love the blanket on the left, so bright and colourful. Perhaps I could talk my Mum into making this for me?? Or if I learnt myself I guess it would be a great portable project to grow over time. I have also been inspired by Jo with her lovely crocheted African flowers.
Or perhaps I should start small with one of these beautiful vibrant pillows. So tempting! This magazine sits in my sewing attic open to these inspiring pages. One day........

I love all these colours too & I can imagine how these will be in patchwork & quilts. I don't think I have the patience to crochet anything! Luckily for quilting, I don't have to make the fabric :) .
My grandma taught me how to crochet when I was a little girl and I'm so happy to see it coming back into fashion! It's not hard to learn...I say buy a hook and a little yarn and give it a try!
Hi Catherine,
I recently learnt to crochet and make a lot of flowers to embellish things with,it's great to slip in your handbag,I love the patterns it makes me want to make the lovely colourful blanket.
hugs Georgie xx
I can only do very, very basic crocheting. But I desperately want to make this:

Great colours! I like the colours more than the crochet... I would replicate in fabric!!
Thanks so much for the mention Catherine! You really should give crochet a go, it works very well as a sister hobby to quilting as it is so portable and you can sit in front of the TV and do some crocheting when you have finished with the noisy sewing machine (and that way your family get to see you too!). just start with some simple granny squares - it is so addictive!
O wow; these BHG projects almost make me want to pick up my crochet hook again! They are SO bright and cheery!
Wow - great eye candy! The projects look very quilty! Crochet's lots easier than it looks. Besides, there is much less chance of injury than in quilting :) I say go for it. I agree with bearpaw, the portability of crochet is awesome.
Hi Again!! Not sure if you remember me, I'm sure not. I posted a comment a while ago about the pattern on the right side of the magazine. I have tried to find it and no luck. Love the colors and that are differnt sizes sewn together to complete the afghan. Do you have that pattern? or one similar? Thanks!
