I have about 50 more of these little babies to go so I'm on a bit of a crochet marathon these last and next few days. So close to finishing now that I just want it done! It's been a year since I started and it was always meant to be a slow project to pick up when I had little pockets of time. Now I'm eager to see it finished so we can use it as its just a little nippy around here at the moment plus I'm keen to get going on my
yo-yo project.

Very pretty hooking!
these are so adorable and bright and fun!@
Hv never crochet & I think that this must take even more effort & time than sewing. With sewing, you can buy fabrics to sew. With crochet, you hv to crochet the "fabric"...guess I am too lazy for crochet projects!
I absolutely adore these cute wee squares Catherine! Well done!!!!
Look at you, you're almost there! I love the one-and-only crocheted blanket I've made. Actually everyone loves it. There's something about the way it wraps around you so snuggly. CANNOT wait to see your finish! Another talented blogger friend of mine made the same blanket I think! Her name is Heidi. She blogs under the name Sewing Daisies. Here's her blanket link: http://www.sewingdaisies.com.au/sewing_daisies/2010/07/vivid-dreams-blanket-completed.html
Is that the same blanket? So gorgeous!!!
Hey there Catherine,
Thank you for stopping by Sewing Daisies with your questions.
re: finishing up
I think I spent a week sewing the squares together. I was really keen to finsih as it had taken over my life!
I used the same beige as in the blanket to whipstitch the whole thing. I don't know if I chose the best method to join them up but that was all I could muster in the end.
I can't wait to see your finished blanket, your will feel so proud of yourself and the envy of all other crochet bloggers ;-)
Hvae fun!
xHeidi
