As you might have guessed by now the other bunch of strips I cut up the other day was for this giveaway. I have rolled them up just like a little honey bun. There are 32 all up and they would make a lovely addition to a scrap quilt. Colours included are greens, browns, blues, purple/lilac, red , yellow and pinks. They are 1 1/2 " wide and at least 40" long. Also included is a pear pincushion that I just finished today made from a Heather Bailey pattern plus I will add some other sewing goodies.
So this is 1 of 3 gifts I have put together.
This is gift number 2, a lovely bundle of 85 5 1/2 " charm squares that include all the fabrics from the above honey bun plus a whole lot more. You can make so much with a charm pack, sew them all together for a simple scrappy quilt or cut them up into half square triangles and the possibilities are numerous. Also included is an apple pincushion I made today from the same Heather Bailey pattern plus as before I will add some other sewing goodies.
Lastly number 3 gift is 6 fat quarters of these lovely fabrics that I purchased the other day plus a flower brooch that I made from an Amy Butler pattern. The winner of this gift will get to choose which colour(s) they would like this brooch made up in as the one in the photo belongs on a matching bag of mine.
How to enter my giveaway:
Leave me a comment and tell my what sewing projects you would like to do this year. (My list is rather long!)
If you are new to my blog become a follower and let me know. Any current followers will automatically gain an extra entry.
I'm going to leave this giveaway open till next Friday so if you comment on any posts between now and then you will gain a further entry. And I will give any regular commentors extra entries as well.
When you leave me a comment please make sure you have your email on your profile and have ticked the box 'show email' otherwise it makes it very difficult to contact you. There are a lot of people out there who are completely unaware that they can't be contacted. Amy of Parkcity Girl has done a great post on this that you might want to check out here.
Also I'm added this post to Amylou's Sew 'n' tell Friday because those 2 pincushions are my finishes this week. Click on the Sew'n'tell button on the righthand side bar to see some more lovely finishes for this week.

Hi Catherine
I have been following your blog via RSS feed but I am now a follower!!
Well, my main list of things to do this year is finish all my UFOs. I have bought a couple of jelly rolls and layer cakes and will definately make them into something special!! I also will practice and practice loads of different blocks to increase my skills - my no. 1 resolution this year! I also wish to make a couple of snuggly quilts for my two boys - they deserve it.
Thanks for the great blog. I enjoy reading it.
Hello Catherine,
I have been a follower of your blog for quite a while and enjoying everything you make!!
My list is so long: I am trying to complete Joseph quilt-a-long (Kellie - Don't Look Now), Quilt Aid blocks are almost completed, two handbags are almost finished and a new block of the month in Homespun. Congratulations on 100th posts.
Sandy N.
Congratulations Catherine on reaching this milestone! I love reading your blog and get inspired by the beautiful things you make!
You know my long list of projects are a little behind... DQS8 being at the top together with the bee-blocks that are due...

oh my...this is so great of you to do such a cool giveaway. glad i am already a follower. i have so many things i want to make this year, but most of them are quilts. i also want to get some house things made....pillows, curtains..wow i am getting dizzy thinking about all of it. thanks for the chance to win.
I'm blown away that you are already at 100 posts. I started last June and haven't even made it to 50 posts yet! I guess I'm a slacker :). I want to make a quilt or two with solids this year, keep up on my BOM and bees, make a string quilt and a spiderweb quilt, finish a bunch of UFOs, make more baby and mini quilts, learn to crochet, and not be so hard on my own work! And maybe make it to 100 posts! Congratulations!
joan
Your pincushions are very cute and make me wish summer would come so we could have good fresh fruit! This year I would like to do a little more clothing sewing and I'd like to figure out what kind of quilt to make with my Heather Ross Mendocino fabric.
Congrats on 100 posts!
My sewing list is LONG but my main goals for this year and learning to use my serger and finishing a quilt that was given to me by my grandmother that her sister started before she died last year.

Congratulations, isn't it incredible how quickly 100 posts get clocked up? I'm already a follower, which I'm delighted about, those extra entries are so generous, as are the lovely giveaways, such gorgeous things. I've really enjoyed getting to know you through your blog and am so glad that you decided to enter blogworld and share your sewing and life with us. Oh yes, nearly forgot, my intention this year is to concentrate on my Japanese-style quilts and develop my sashiko stitchery. With quilty hugs, Lis
Well my list of projects for 2010 keps geting longer and longer. I saw some owl fabric in my LQS which is now a new project. I will work on all my quilt alongs, get all my quilting bee blocks completed and on time, join every swap that looks like fun, and hopefully complete a top a month.

Brilliant Catherine!! Amazing giveaway!!! I love them all :)
Great finishes too! I love those pincushions. So sweet.
I'm a new follower. & the projects I want to complete this year aren't really known yet. My craftroom had a bit of a disaster last weekend when it was flooded by about 4 inches of rain-water. :( I can do small projects at the moment, but everything that could be saved is in storage at the moment. So most likely I'll be making more brooches and dishcloths.
Love your blog, by the way, you've been on my google reader for a while now!
Whoohoo! Here's to 100 more. I bet that feels good.
Count me in. I love the apple, the teacher in me, and a girl can never had enough pink or scraps! Right?
Oh, what a hugely wonderful giveaway, 3 prizes, you are so very generous,Catherine!
This year I want to make that string block quilt that you just started and more doll quilts or wall sized ones. That's much more my speed- I don't need big quilts and I like the instant gratification of knocking something out in a day or two or three as opposed to weeks!
I'm already a happy follower! :) Thanks for the chance to win, sweetie!
I really want to make another quilt, and also learn how to make my own patterns to make clothes!
congrats for the 100th post!
my first project is to get my sewing room back in the house. after that i just want to sink in to my new sewing room i also have a very long list!!!
i cant wait!!
i am all ready a follower

That's exciting...you reaching your 100th post...congrats!
Hmmmm....what do I want to do this year....I need to finish 3 quilts that are pinbasted and my doll quilt...after that I would like to make this blk/wt/grey quilt for my husband and then just like Susan...do small doll/wall quilt just for fun. Plus you can always use those as a table topper. But I'm hoping to get enough done to maybe sell at some local fairs this year.
Your pear and apple pincushions are wonderful...it would be so cute to have a whole basket full of those on the table!:) No rot worries!:)

I'd also love to carve out a better sewing space for myself so I have more room to be creative. I'm now a follower.
Great blog!
I need to finish the massive stack of unfinished quilts I have hanging all over the place! If I can complete that, I'll be a happy girl! Other than that, I just want to continue quilting, sewing, and crocheting whatever I come along that inspires me!

Congrats on making it to 100 post. I pop over here from ORBC group every so often. I have a ton of projects on my to do list this year. A bunch of bee commitments, several quilt alongs (I can't wait for the pinwheels) and I am trying to think about Christmas gifts early this year.
Congratulations on 100 posts, and wow, what generous giveaways!
Apart from finishing all (or most) of my WIPS, I have a twin size zig zag on my wishlist (in purples, for a purple-loving friend) a I'm hoping to try branching out a bit into 'art quilts', because I have a wall in my house that's screaming for something to hang on it :)
Congratulations! That pear is darling.
Congrats on the 100 posts! What great giveaways. I've just started following and am off to check out some more of your blog :)
ps. I'm hosting a little giveaway on my blog right now too.
Wow, what a milestone!
My favorite has to be the string blocks you just did! I am excited right now by anything that helps use up the small bits and leftovers that I used to see as trash. Using them up is MUCH more fun.
I have been following you in an RSS feed, and just became a follower. I've found signing up to follow to be a pain, but you inspired me to try again.
Hi,Catherine:
This is the first time reading your blog. I came here via sewcrazy.com. What a nice surprise to see a giveaway- congratulations on your anniversary blog!
I love your quilts. I, too, am a quilter and receive inspiration from others like you!
Congratulations on your 100th post! Great prizes. I don't follow people on blogspot, because I have a nice long bloglines list.
Congratulations on your 100th post. I only started my blog last year and are up to 20 something posts. Great pincushions.
This year I want to make a couple of charity quilts (boy ones as they are always short on those), use my Rounneries, Nicey Jane & Love fabrics (all in separate quilts that is). But heaven only knows what else will make it into my 'list' and what will and won't get done.
Wow Catherine this giveaway is amazing. I love the pincushions and fabric groupings. How very generous!
My list is very long and always changing. I'll give you the top five or so.
1. pinwheel quilt that I talked Dana into doing Hee Hee
2. Blizzard quilt because it snowed a enormaous amount of snow and I will not be leaving the house anytime soon
3. Idea 4 of the Doll Quilt Swap- kind of a broken log cabin thingy
4. Hoop up swaps - embroideries for Karen and Terrie.
5. Pop Garden quilt- blocks cut and waiting for me to get to them.
Thanks Catherine
I now follow you- glad to find ya
Hey Catherine, congratulations on your 100th post! I love your Friday finishes. I also like how you made up your own honey bun strips and charm packs. I like to do that as well. Great fabrics and a wonderful giveaway. Thanks for the opportunity to win. My list of projects I'd like to do this year is too long to mention, but my most adventurous project is starting a liberated Dear Jane quilt. Thanks for sharing. Enjoy your weekend.
Congratulations on 100 posts. My goal is to learn to quilt well, and to make items to donate. I receive your feed, but I'll become a follower. Best wishes for the next 100!
I've become a follower.
Congrats on 100 posts! Great giveaways! This year I want to do more quilts for children. Please count me in!
I've become a follower.
Why hello! I found you through AmyLouWho's Friday Finish and I'm so glad I did. Please enter me and I am def. becoming a follower! I want to finish most or all of my UFOs existing at the beginning of the year. I also have 6 quilts I want to do for a surprise for a blogland friend but since there is no set requirement for those, well, it would just be a nice treat. :D
I have sew many sewing projects I would like to make this year! I have several bags I want to make (one involving this bright and colorful men's button down shirt that I thrifted last week), I am collecting vintage sheets to try to make a quilt with those, plus some patchwork dishtowels, too. I would also say that is definitely not a complete list!
Wonderful stuff, please count me in for the drawing. I am trying to stretch my birthday (the 9th) for the whole week, all I want is to sew and quilt. I just about finished a black and white quilt top for the second time, I bought to many fabrics for this quilt, and decided I love it so much why not make it again with the same fabrics in different places. Its beautiful, I sure hope I can part with this one. Keep quilting.
Congrats on your 100th post! I want to make my sisters quilts this year and maybe do some pillow cases to match. I also have some vintage sheets I want to make into a picnic quilt. oh, so many to do, so little time.
I'm a follower now too =)
Hi I have been with Godi4 and trying to post a comment. Now I am with my daughter who has some brains, so hopefully you will get this. I have many things to complete this year, one being a hand made quilt started in Feb 2009. I want to make the Sylvia's Bridal Quilt and the list goes on. If I post this I will try to talk Godi4 through the whole thing.
Oh boy I seem to have managed to post a comment, poor Godi4 will be very frustrated. I will phone her to console her. By the way Jo is 'sewjo' on flickr, so perhaps you could contact me through flickr. thanks for trying to help Catherine.
Wow!!! What a great giveaway. I`ve been a follower for a while now...but through my blog list. But I am an official follower now!! Congratulations on 100th post. I have so many projects on the go right now. I want to finish my Schnibbles quilt for the end of the month and maybe another one of my UFOs. Lets hope!!! Thanks for the chance to win. Love your blog!!!
Hi, Catherine,
I read along regularly, but now I'm on your follower list, too. Yea, for making it to 100! I'm like you in that my list of to do's is forever long, I just hope to make my 10 for 2010 list on my blog, and don't you know there are even more projects than the list-!
Congratulations on your 100th post. I am going to try to make: a small dresden plate quilt, josephs coat posted on Don't look now blog, and I also have the Civil war bride quilt pattern. Like I said try to make, maybe not complete :)
Sharon.
I have also become a follower, thanks for the great give away, Sharon.
I've become a follower of your blog. I've stumbled onto it before but this may be the first time I've commented.

Congratulations on reaching your blogging milestone. It seems a great way to stay motivated to create. You are so sweet to host a giveaway.
My to-sew list is quite lengthy so I'll share some of my shorter term goals. I need to sew blocks for three monthly quilting bees, doll quilt for DQS 8, bean bag chair and cover for my 2 yr old nephew, "Mermania" shower curtain for my daughter's birthday in early March and the tops of two lap quilts for Quilts For Kids. Wow, once I typed all that I went back and made changes to my goals. I only have three weeks before I go out of town for a month. Have to come up with a project or two that doesn't require a sewing machine for the trip...maybe hexagons, cross-stitch ornaments or learning to crochet.
One long term goal is to finally make something with the first quilting fabrics I bought last year. I've only been quilting for a year and was shocked by the price per yard. So shocked I've been scared to cut the fabric until I was "good enough". We'll see. I know it won't happen this month!

I'd like to make quilts for: my neighbors who are moving away; friends at church who are moving back to Chicago; my son and daughter-in-law for Christmas; two Christmas quilts for my daughters. Thanks for the giveaway.
now following your blog!
Those are all so lovely! I am a new follower, and will most certainly be back!
I am a new quilter, and have made a few doll quilts and recently finished my first baby quilt, among other things! Next on my list is a set of place mats, which is a wedding gift for one of my best friends who was married last October (ooops!).
Love your blog! My next project will be a jacket made from felted wool fabric. I've found a pattern and made a test jacket from commercial felt. Now, I just need to make a lot of felt!!
woollove-fiberart(at)hotmail(dot)com
My projects this year will to be to finish the projects I've already started..this was my new years resolution 2 years ago and i still haven't done it!!!I enjoy your blog.
I plan to finish a ton. I recently bought a long arm, and I have about 10 quilt tops that I need to quilt. Plus, I am stash-busting and finishing old, old UFO's (from, like, over 10 years ago!). Thanks for doing this give away.
I'm officially following you. Can't wait to see more of your stuff:-)
Great fabrics!!! I have a bunch of projects too. A quilt for my son that has to be sandwiched and quilted. A quilt for my daughter, one for a friend who is graduating college in May, and a couple of other small gifts for Xmas..... busy!
Thanks for the give away
And congrats on 100 posts!
SheilaC
thanks for a chance at this giveaway..im hoping to make a skirt this year for my daughter and a few charity quilts.
I'd like to finish up some of my UFOs, I also like to use the aqua and red fabric I've collected to make a quilt. I 'd like to make some fabric post cards.... so many things.
This is the first day since my holiday ended that I have had chance to do some serious blog reading, and boy am I impressed. I just did not realise that YOU cut up all the squares for the charm pack, or cut the stripes for the jelly roll that you gave away. That really is a gift that is very personal, just sad I was not on the recieving end. By the way we are still working on getting Videa in the comment box --- that is our work in progress (or not as the case may be) SewJo2009
